A More Editorial Approach to Real Estate
T28 Development Home- Ashley Wise Photography
I have always been drawn to spaces that feel intentional.
Not just how they look, but how they are put together, how the light moves through them, and how everything works as a whole. That perspective has naturally shaped the way I approach real estate.
More than just listing photos
A lot of homes are still presented the same way. Standard photos, quick descriptions, and a focus on basic details. The ones that stand out are the homes that feel curated.
They are presented in a way that highlights design, materials, and the overall feeling of the space, not just the layout. Editorial style photography in addition to listing photos helps elevate a home, and using social media to showcase it in that way is a big part of how I approach it.
Where this comes from
Through working around new builds and being involved with developers, I have been able to see how much thought actually goes into a home before it is ever listed. From materials to layout to lighting, everything is considered.
That is what I try to reflect in how I see and present real estate.
An editorial perspective
I naturally approach homes the way you would see them in a design publication. It is less about checking boxes and more about understanding the space, the details, and what makes it feel elevated.
The goal is to present homes in a way that feels thoughtful and intentional, not just transactional.
How this connects to social media
Social media has completely changed how people experience real estate.
For most people, the first time they see a home is not in person. It is on their phone and that first impression matters.
When a home is presented in a more curated, editorial way, it immediately stands out. It allows people to understand the space, feel the design, and connect with it before they ever step inside.
It is about posting with intention, not just about about posting more.
Why it matters
The way a home is presented shapes how it is perceived.
Two similar homes can feel completely different depending on how they are shown. The one that feels more considered, more intentional, and more aligned visually is the one people remember. That is where this approach makes a difference.
Real estate is not just about buying or selling. It is about how a space is experienced, and how it is introduced.
A more editorial approach, especially through social media, allows that to come through in a way that feels natural, elevated, and true to the home.
